From time to time, I have these dreams where I'm blind and/or deaf, and I wake up, and for a few moments, I think I really am blind or deaf, and then I'm grateful to learn I'm not. I think it's my mind's way of preparing me for the infinite nothing and/or conscious-but-senseless state that death will bring...
