okay, giving the "quitting smoking" thing a try...again. terry said that he's quitting today so, in accordance with my earlier statement to him -- something along the lines of "i'll quit at the same time you do" -- i'm quitting. yes, again. i know, i've said it before. but i've gotta keep trying, right?
so the patch makes my arm burn. nuts. my last cigarette was around 11 last night. so nine hours into it.
i kind of want to jab a pencil into my eye. i'll definitely keep you updated on that.

air-popped popcorn and baby carrots are what some chicas I work with have used for oral fixation instead o' cigs...
And, Ireland and Italy are starting to make smoking in public places illegal, so the whole 'But everyone smokes across the pond and they're way cooler' comeback is becoming a less feasible anywho.

Apparently the main challenge is getting through the first week totally smoke-free. After that the physical cravings subside and it's just a matter of breaking psychological habit.
