one of my best friends has passed away and it's breaking my heart. and it doesn't seem possible -- i heard it, it was said to me twice. and it was as though i couldn't say anything to anyone b/c it couldn't possibly be real. it just can't be.

Do you mean Bram? I just heard..I'm heartbroken :(
I feel for you. It's heartbreaking. He was an amazing guy who touched a lot of people's lives. I still can't believe it. I'd do anything to be within 500 miles of someone who just knew the guy and understands why the world's not as bright as it was yesterday...
^^ What a beautiful thing to say. I didn't know him long, so people don't understand why I am so sad today. That's because they didn't know him. You only had to know him a moment to have your whole life changed for the better. Thanks Bram for making me smile so big it made my cheeks hurt. Kari, thank you for posting this...I found you by doing a google search on his name and finding his blog. It feels better to be around people who understand. *Hugs*

*Hugs* Somehow, I was hoping that this was some kind of bad dream & that I must have misunderstood. I'm so sorry for your loss.
How does this happen? I am in shock...
Wow. Kristin works at MSU now and she just heard. I have some great memories of Bram from college. He always made me laugh. What happened?

Much saddness, shock and a mix of emotions. Bram's friendship to all of us in Minot during our time at college was something that is hard to describe.
For those who knew him, he was unique and gave us much to think about and smile.
Bram's inventions of vampire contact lenses - to make his eyes look red will be a grand memory as will all that we shared.
A light upon the stage of life has gone dim. But your memory will always live within.
From me your friend and those of us you shared your time with.
