and yes, i'm pleased with how it turned out. (and very pleased to be mostly done.) what's left, you ask? a dresser that i painted which is STILL VERY WET and will probably be covered in kitten paw prints come morning.

a week from now we'll be in the car, driving to north dakota, for our july 2 wedding reception at ye olde hansen farm. there are definite perks to driving at night, such as cool weather, less traffic and a child who will be sleeping. downside? inability to stay awake at the wheel, my aging eyes decreasing ability to see the road at night, things like that. however it'll be nice to get back and see some good folk who still live 'round those parts.
