up too late...

(in manner of cheerleader and crowd, or of protest leader and protest attenders:

SLEEPING!

BLOGGING!

our cat little brother (who is no longer little but saying "big brother" is creepy) has become a very vocal cat. his meow has evolved from a meow into something that, on occasion, sounds like a person who is complaining or whining. not a real word comes out, but there is an undertone of disgruntledness. and quite frankly it's pissing me off. he will do it outside of the kiddo's door at night, waking her up and in turn waking ME up. so my question is this: what can i do to make him shut up (and don't you dare mention eating him, joe-mammy)? can i teach him sign? should i sedate him? keep the cats in the basement at night? ideas?

a meow collar! Each time little brother decides to atempt to communicate outside the species ZZAAAAAAAAAAP, an electric pulse remindes him that he's a fucking cat. Of course if other cats meow it may set it off, but you win some you lose some.
