had a lil' birthday breakfast at perkins, and of course i had to try out the claw machine. well lookeeee here! i won a hat! and what does the hat say? it says "fishing!" that is SO me.

You actually WON playing the claw?! For the past two years I've been explaining to my very upset niece why she never wins. I think it's finally sunk in, but she's still sad every time she loses. Congrats on the birthday score!
Kari, you and Dustin are the only people I know who have EVER won anything at the claw game.
the trick is to NOT actually pick anything up, as that will never work. what you want to do is knock things over, to nudge them into the bin, if you will.
oh, and being drunk helps, too.
Do you remember that one episode of the Simpsons where Homer is fishing, and singing (to the tune of the Batman theme music): "nana nana nana nana Fishing...".
That was funny.
