Okay, I just laughed my ASS off. Really. I have no more ass.

awesome. I had no idea my previous comment would inspire such hilarity. I really was not trying to insult you or start drama in any kind of way. I was just merely suggesting that it wouldn't hurt to take 5 minutes and swipe on some concealer or lipgloss. It's not an issue of putting on a face full of garish over the top makeup, but a little foundation and lipgloss can improve anyone's looks.
I am only here to help.

hmm...yeah, i just don't see the point.

and i've always believed myself to be hideous no matter how much makeup i had on, so i'm pretty proud of myself for using those photos which i knew didn't show my best.

but hey, different strokes for different folks, right? (and who doesn't want a chance to use that cliché?)

and i think i'm okay with being the girl who opts not to toss on that foundation and lipgloss.

but thanks for the memories, anonymous from minot.

Yeah, that anonymous isn't the REAL anonymous, I am the real anonymous- and I think you look great.

Awww, damn. That kinda ruins the anonymity, doesn't it?

anonymous - what you said -- whether you intended it or not -- struck a nerve with myself and others.

and my response to it wasn't to feel ugly or bad about myself. or to think twice about posting a photo if i lack makeup. or to disable anonymous comments.

my response was to disagree with you. and that shows that i must like the person i've become.

so thanks for that, anonymous. i just hope that everyone who has ever felt shitty about themselves can feel as bitchin' cool as i feel right now.

That sort of backhanded insult cloaked in the guise of "helpful advice" does nothing but hurt.

And really, what business is it of anyone's what our makeupping choices are? Who really gives a shit? The worst mass shooting in America's history has just happened at Virginia Tech, and someone is concerned that Kari walks around in the privacy of her own home without makeup on? Holy shit, when I come home from work I change into comfy clothes and walk around the house WITHOUT A BRA. Someone summon the ghost of Emily Post!!! we need an intervention!!!!
Obviously Kari's flagrant violation of the Concealer & Lipgloss Mandate of 1914 has not prevented her from having tons of friends & family who adore her,& a wonderful husband who loves her. Aside from keeping superficial strangers from trying to "help" her with her appearance, I fail to see how swiping on a little concealer or lipgloss will have any effect on her life.

"...flagrant violation of the Concealer & Lipgloss Mandate of 1914" might just be the funniest thing i've ever read, jege.

now it is I who lacks an ass from laughing so hard.

There's nothing--and I mean *nothing*--that I hate more than cowardly pieces of shit who skulk around the World Wide Web posting anonymous comments. If you have something to say, then say it. And put your name to it. Otherwise, do the world a royal favor and shut the fuck up. People who post anonymously deserve a hot-poker enema.
