things you can do when unemployed

1. drink squirt from a glass bottle √
2. meet a friend for lunch √
3. discuss relationships, children and judaism with aforementioned friend √
4. read the onion √
5. consider playing battleship with self √
6. take time from reading the onion to smoke a cigarette outside of coffeeshop √
7. wonder if you should have studied harder √
8. dismiss thought of further schooling √
9. contemplate another bottle of squirt √
10. recall days of working at small coffeeshop with romanticized, rose-colored glasses √
11. recall low wages of working at a small coffeeship with total clarity √

yeah, that was pretty much my monday. however i'm lining up stuff with temp agencies currently, so that should prove fruitful.

and i've been doing some writing and thinking about things i like about myself, things i don't. here's what i've got thus far:

things i don't like:
1. i smoke too many cigarettes (esp. with my family history of cancer...not good)
2. i am largely uninspired a majority of the time
3. my shoe size is absurd
4. i am lazy.
5. i watch nick and jessica
6. i never remember to bring a notebook with me, therefore i've been writing a lot on napkins
7. a beverage-stained napkin at that.
8. i have moods whwere i think irrationally and internalize my anger in a self-loathing frenzy
9. i question myself too much
10. i'm scared of many things

things i like:
1. i don't adorn myself in anything that sparkles
2. i draw nice stick people
3. i own no gwen stefani
4. i don't wear blue eyeshadow
5. i'm an adequate speller
6. i'm sometimes clever
7. i don't wear fur
8. i gave birth to the coolest kid EVER (proof of this includes the fact that, in school, she has to choose to do a biography on a musician, and she wants to do either johnny cash or danny elfman. yes. cool.)

her chosen list:
sports: wilma rudolph
science/math: marie curie
arts/entertainment: judy garland
political figure: eleanor roosevelt
humanitarian: anne frank

alas, it's marie curie, scientist... i thought the musician choices she talked about were cool, too. guess we'll be learning about... science instead. =) darn. the man in black would have been cool. maybe not so great of a model for a 10yr old i suppose, but cool for us as parents to learn aobut =)
