i heart x files. but i have mixed feelings about the later seasons.
but this one has duchovny! yay!
he just makes the later seasons look SO below-average.
"bear with us, cause we're old and stupid." his delivery is delightful.
david duchovny: read out of a phonebook, record it, and i'll buy it.

i need to get on that.
but for now, it's xfiles time.

You know, I know I'm putting myself out there by actually posting this bit of blasphemy on the Internets, but I am one of the few people who thought that Gish and what's-his-name, the Terminator, had potential as the replacement Mulder & Scully if XF had continued.
the problem with the gish and the terminator guy is that the gish was incapable of delivering any x-files type dialogue without sounding absolutely horrible.
Point taken. My other issue with Gish/Terminator was the whole "Look! They're the opposite of Mulder and Scully!! Isn't that great??" Mulder was unorthodox while Terminator was by-the-book; Dana Scully was devoutly religious while Gish was into New Age-y mumbo-jumbo. It was all so high-school fanfiction.
